PenePene
A multi-vendor marketplace platform — tagline "Tout proche." (Right nearby) — connecting buyers with verified local sellers across several cities in Africa.
The Challenge
Buyers looking for everyday goods — electronics, vehicles, shoes, and clothing — across DRC cities had no trusted, structured place to find verified local sellers, negotiate directly, and arrange delivery, and sellers had no simple way to list products and reach nearby buyers.
The Architecture
We built a Laravel and Tailwind CSS marketplace where buyers browse listings by category, then message sellers directly through an in-app chat to negotiate before ordering and arranging delivery. The platform ships in French, English, Lingala, and Kiswahili, with delivery defaulting to Kinshasa and support for over 20 cities.
Core Functionalities
In-app buyer-to-seller chat and negotiation
